Janaki Shanmugam

DPhil Student
BEng (National University of Singapore)

Janaki is a 4th year DPhil student working in the area of phase change materials, specifically, the chalcogenide GST-225. Her research involves correlation of optical anisotropy with structural changes in pure and doped GST thin films. This work is carried out by employing laser excitation, synchrotron CD, X-ray and electron techniques.

Janaki is a member of Linacre College. She is also a scholar with A*STAR (Agency of Science, Research and Technology), Singapore and is attached to the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) under the A*STAR Graduate (Overseas) scholarship program.
